Course Overview

Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. Education in interior design will prepare the students to acquire special skills of this industry such as color balancing, knowledge of material/fabrics, styles and trends, sense of creativity, space planning, familiarity with codes, problem solving skills, commitment to client services, communication and strong computer skills.

A student of the interior designing course will learn to be sensitive to cultural, social, and practical concerns of the client and will examine materials, furniture, lighting, and emerging technologies in this perspective.
